Matt Penney

Matt Penney,
PT, DPT, ATC

Matt Penney, PT, DPT, ATC, is the owner, general manager and head coach of Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited LLC.

He is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Tufts University, a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University.

Matt has worked in the realm of sports physical therapy and sports medicine for his entire career as a physical therapist. He has worked with recreational/competitive aging and middle-aged, semi-professional, collegiate, high school, adolescent and youth athletes to rehabilitate their injuries and return them safely to their field/court/rink etc.  Matt has trained extensively in the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Approach to manual and manipulative therapy. He has his Level 1 Certification in Blood Flow Restriction Training from Smart Tools. 

Matt is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), American Association of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Matt is also a published author in the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Practice, Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Review and International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health journals.

Patrick Williams

Patrick Williams,
PT, DPT

Patrick Williams PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and then obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. Patrick is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Patrick is able to draw on his personal experiences as a high school wrestler, working with Division 1 athletes while at UMASS Amherst, and competing in powerlifting and half marathons to assist a wide range of patients. Patrick is avid about not only getting you back to your pre-injury level, but also making you an even better version of yourself. Clinically, Patrick has helped patients post-surgically by rehabilitating patients from a wide array of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, as well as performing ACL injury prevention testing and training. Patrick continues to attend continuing education courses to help better serve his patients, and looks forward to helping you reach your goals, whatever they may be.

Giselle Charette

Giselle Charette,
PT, DPT

Giselle Charette, PT, DPT is a licensed Physical Therapist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As a Salem native, Giselle received her undergraduate degree at Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, and later went on to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Plymouth State University.

While in graduate school, Giselle had the opportunity to work with junior hockey athletes of the New Hampshire Monarchs and Cyclones. Her interest in sports medicine and orthopedics has grown over the years and Giselle continues to advance her skills clinically by attending annual educational courses to deliver optimal care to her patients. As a previous soccer player and track runner, Giselle takes pride in helping clients reach their goals and returning back to sport and function.

Courtney Ryan

Courtney Ryan,
Customer Experience Supervisor and Billing Coordinator

Courtney Ryan is the Office Administrator at Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited.  She graduated from North Shore Community College with an Associate's Degree in Science and Medical Administrative Assistant.  

Courtney has a wealth of medical billing experience and knowledge as a third-party biller and billing coordinator.  Courtney also has extensive experience in customer relations and excels at providing friendly and caring customer service allowing complete patient satisfaction.
