Matt Penney

Matt Penney
PT, DPT, ATC

Matt Penney, PT, DPT, ATC, is the owner, general manager and head coach of Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited LLC.

He is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Tufts University, a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University.

Matt has worked in the realm of sports physical therapy and sports medicine for his entire career as a physical therapist.

He has worked with recreational/competitive aging and middle-aged, semi-professional, collegiate, high school, adolescent and youth athletes to rehabilitate their injuries and return them safely to their field/court/rink etc.

As a Partner of Advanced Sports Therapy in Wellesley, MA, Matt was involved in physical therapy education on a daily basis by coordinating the clinical and cooperative education for the clinic as well as being an adjunct faculty member at Baystate College teaching the Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy Intervention course.

Matt is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

He regularly attends APTA of Massachusetts Special Interest Group (SIGs) meetings and is treasurer of the Private Practice SIG and Secretary of the Shoulder SIG.

He is also a founding member of the board of directors of the Dreamfar High School Marathon Team dedicated to supporting athletes in marathon training and development.

Matt is also a published author in the Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Review and Orthopedic Physical Therapy Practice journals.

Amanda Yu

Amanda Yu
PT, DPT

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Boston University. She is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is also certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training through Smart Tools.  She also has attended multiple continuing education courses for manual therapy techniques and sports medicine. Amanda is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and APTA of Massachusetts and participates in the Manual and Shoulder Special Interest Groups.

She has experience working with patients of all ages and activity levels, including but not limited to sports-, work-, and MVA- related injuries, joint replacements, pre- and post- surgery, pre- and post-natal individuals, and those with multiple complex conditions. Amanda is passionate about working with patients to maximize their functional mobility and improve their athletic performance.

Courtney Ryan

Courtney Ryan

Courtney Ryan is the Office Administrator at Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited.  She graduated from North Shore Community College with an Associate's Degree in Science and Medical Administrative Assistant.  

Courtney has a wealth of medical billing experience and knowledge as a third-party biller and billing coordinator.  Courtney also has extensive experience in customer relations and excels at providing friendly and caring customer service allowing complete patient satisfaction.

Christy Greenwald

Christy Greenwald

Christy is a physical therapy aide at Sports Rehab Unlimited and Advanced Sports Therapy. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's in Health Science, and plans to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. 

Since her start as a physical therapy aide in 2015, Christy has taken on administrative roles in the office, worked as a medical assistant at an orthopedic surgery clinic, and attended educational courses on current therapy practices. 

Christy is also a RYT-200 Vinyasa Yoga, and Barre Above teacher at Mission Hill Yoga in Boston.
