Matt Penney, PT, DPT, ATC
Matt Penney, PT, DPT, ATC, is the owner, general manager and head coach of Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited LLC.
He is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Tufts University, a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University.
Matt has worked in the realm of sports physical therapy and sports medicine for his entire career as a physical therapist.
He has worked with recreational/competitive aging and middle-aged, semi-professional, collegiate, high school, adolescent and youth athletes to rehabilitate their injuries and return them safely to their field/court/rink etc.
As a Partner of Advanced Sports Therapy in Wellesley, MA, Matt was involved in physical therapy education on a daily basis by coordinating the clinical and cooperative education for the clinic as well as being an adjunct faculty member at Baystate College teaching the Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy Intervention course.
Matt is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
He regularly attends APTA of Massachusetts Special Interest Group (SIGs) meetings and is treasurer of the Private Practice SIG and Secretary of the Shoulder SIG.
He is also a founding member of the board of directors of the Dreamfar High School Marathon Team dedicated to supporting athletes in marathon training and development.
Matt is also a published author in the Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Review and Orthopedic Physical Therapy Practice journals.

Lyle Morgan, PTA
Lyle Morgan, PTA graduated from Newbury College with an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Massachusetts Boston and also attended University of Massachusetts Lowell with an undergraduate concentration in Exercise Physiology.
Lyle brings extensive experience in the field of Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation to Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited. He has worked with professional athletes from the Boston Cannons, Boston Breakers, Boston Blazers and Boston Militia to provide skilled rehabilitation interventions and injury prevention strategies.
Lyle is trained in the Graston Technique while also utilizing several other forms of manual therapy such as Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM), Active Muscle Therapy/Release, Cupping and Maitland joint mobilization techniques to provide a comprehensive approach to treating musculoskeletal injuries and movement dysfunction. He is also KT1 and KT2 level Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner.
Lyle values professional education and has served as the Clinical Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) and primary Clinical Instructor (CI) for countless Physical Therapist Assistant students, while also acting as an Assistant Lab Instructor at Bay State College.

Courtney Ryan is the Office Administrator at Sports Rehabilitation Unlimited. She graduated from North Shore Community College with an Associate's Degree in Science and Medical Administrative Assistant.
Courtney has a wealth of medical billing experience and knowledge as a third-party biller and billing coordinator. Courtney also has extensive experience in customer relations and excels at providing friendly and caring customer service allowing complete patient satisfaction.
